Chopper Spins Out of Control into Palm Groves at Well-Known California Beach
A helicopter soaring near a crowded California coastline suddenly started spinning uncontrollably, finally descending rapidly and crashing into a row of palm trees as onlookers observed.
Footage posted on social media show the chopper beginning to twirl over the beach then plunging near the perimeter of the shore, where it ends up lodged amidst palms and a set of stairs near the coastal road.
Rescue Operation Details
The Huntington Beach fire department stated five persons were transported to a medical facility comprising two individuals who were in the helicopter and were “safely pulled from the wreckage” following the incident on the weekend.
Three individuals on the pavement were harmed. Details on their injuries were not immediately available.
The reason for the accident was not yet disclosed.
